After a tentatively return to Springfield Quay on Wednesday 15th of July to restart Bike Night, we are now going to have our first monthly ride out of the year.
We will be meeting at West Coast Harley Davidson at 10:00 am on Sunday the 19th July 2020 where we will have our briefing before heading off sharp at 10:30 am.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the weather and heading South is going to be the best option so we will be looking at a wandering rout through Ayrshire and into the Galloway Forrest heading for Newton Stewart with a stop on the way. We don’t know what the situation is with some of the fuel stops so if you are going please arrive with a full fuel tank and an empty bladder as we are still trying to confirm if some of the fuel stops have open toilet facilities.
Please remember to bring a face covering with you if you intend to enter any shops and to respect social distancing when the group stops for fuel or the lunch stop.
The Lunch will be an open choice with the destination having a few places to pick from (chippy, Cafe etc.)
Hope to see you there.
Yes that’s the run we done last Sunday, using some back roads, after Girvan (public toilets shut) Maybole is the same, there is very little but country roads to Galloway forest, Dumfries should have better facilities for eating, in Girvan long que’s for the chippie, masked so longish stop required, also main services at Ayr are open, this caused a few bladder problems, hopefully better this Sunday 😎
Cheers Ian, Thanks for the info.
